how did you get all thepanels to line up without using body filler or cutting or anything? my new doors and fenders didnt line up at all. and my driver door came with the wrong size bolt hole in the plates the hinges bolt on. so i had to drill and tap.

 

100% luck,...it was about time something went my way,...i have had enough bad luck with this car,.and i guess things just turned around that day,...

i litterally took them out of the box, bolted them on, and did nothing else,...and somehow...they were perfect,...no shims,..no nothing

i am still trying to decide to keep the original door on the passenger side or replace it,...it is 97% rust free and no dents,...the hinges are SHOT! and there is a small crack by the door latch,...and i cant get it to line up,...something is telling me to take my chances with another repo door,...

 

i will say,...the car is a ABSOLUTE blast to drive,...all 68HP of it,...has nothing to do with power,..but everything else about the car is just FUN!,...the handling, steering, brakes,..everything is fun,....and the attention you get from driving a 34 year old orange porsche around town isnt bad either,....hahahaha

 

well took me about two weeks to get the parking brake system in,..had to end up making a custom cable and adaptors to hook up to the wilwood brakes,...since 66 mustang did not come stock with rear wilwood discs:diaf:who woulda thought,...

anyway,...got one of three shipments of parts i am waiting on,...TONS of little things and mostly interior,...


chrome door panel trim

door panels with chrome installed,...new handles and window cranks

new digital am fm radio, with i pod hook up,...bolt up,..i didnt want to cut the dash up so this was the next best option

two 3.5 speakers,...replaces old one dash paper speaker,..custom made by classic audio

i pod hook up wired into the glove box,...

 

new sunvisors and rods

installed

new resto kickpanels made by classic audio that hold a 6.5 speaker
have not decided on speakers yet,...


have no finished up the wiring,..so dont tell me, i know,...still need to wire kick panel speakers, and antenna,...etc,..

stereo playing with 1/4 volume and only two 3.5 speakers in dash

maybe i will get lucky and it will bolt right up like the drivers door

 

where did you get your doors? the only doors i see are advertised for standard interior and you obviously have pony. what's the difference?

 

i ordered my door panels from mustangs plus, all of the interior is from them
