Default ROLL BAR LOOKS?

CAN ANY OF YOU GUYS WITH ROLL BARS ALREADY INSTALLED TELL ME HOW YOU LIKE THE LOOK AND COMFORT OF IT. I HAVE 93 LX CONV, SLOWLY BUILDING IT THE WAY I LIKE IT AND WOULD LIKE THE SAFETY FOR MY FAMILY, IS THE BACK SEAT TO RESTRICTIVE WITH ONE?

i havent put one on my car yet, but i'm 99% sure that they offer no protection whatsoever, they're just for looks. i'm assuming you're talking about a styling bar...

Yea there are "styling bars" that just look cute but offer no real rollover protection. Or you can get a full roll bar like this one

And yea of course it's gonna restrict access to the car especially to the rear.

Any roll cage will restrict entry, especially to the back seat. They are not required unless you break, what? 12's? I dont know, are you wanting one for peace of mind?

Currently its set at 11.99 for a coupe and 13.99 for a convertible. A roll bar is consiered as a 5 point setup. When you hit 9.99 you are required to have a 10 point cage which means you have to start hacking into your dash. i'll be having wild rides build a custom 10pt for me by next spring/summer. it's really important to me that it looks great for obvious reasons in a vert...and passes tech. i've heard nothing but great things about them so i'm sure it won't be a problem. this is on a new edge but this is the look i want

if you don't really plan on going to the track take this into consideration. a roll cage can actually be a saftey hazard. they are designed around the fact a person will be wearing a helmet and have a 5 pt harness to secure them. you could end up smashing your head and body against the cage in an accident on the street and end up getting hurt worse than if you didn't have the cage. this is one of those subjects where everyone has their own opinion...but it's at least food for thought. i personally know a guy who rolled a 700+whp 87 vert (flipped 4x 25 minutes after leaving the dyno going from 500whp to 700+ this summer) and he'll be the first to tell you his 6pt cage saved his life. he did break his back and was critcal for a while. after seeing how smashed the car was with the exception of the cage i decided it's time for me to get one (+ i moved close to a track). btw his engine/trans/blower (F1R) were the only salvagable parts and went right back into a 88 vert he's still working on getting the rest of the car up to par
