Rplacing a Top, yourself?
So here's the deal someone made swiss cheese with my vert top and I just had it put on last summer. How hard is it to replace? Is it something I should try and tacle myself? Thanks

It is something I would never try myself. I know of shops that can do a good job for $800, and I think it would cost me more then that just in theropy after trying to get everything to stretch and line up right. But honestly I don't know of anyone who has tried to do it themselves.

Yup, you have to get the pads, the top, do some sewing, replace the bows and cables, and make it all line up and fit right. I figured if it takes a professional two days to do one, it would take me two weeks.

I'vereplaced a Mustang top once -- on my 1965, but there was no interiorhead liner on that year so all the"skeleton" wasexposed and it was fairly simple. I don't think I'd try it today.
