ok i went to my dads friend who does vert tops for a living... he wanted $600.00 bucks. This was for him to go buy everything. I found a solid top at 50 resto for $145 plus i have my frame and window from 2 differnt mustangs. What do you think is a price for someone to do this??

$600 seems about right for a shop to replace your top. Not sure what $145 get you.. do you mean JUST the material & no hardware or glass or anything? Who's gonna put it on.. It's a tough job to do correctly

That one does not have the bows or the cables, and I didnt see any parts for pads either. Just be careful, you get what you pay for. I am sure your dads friend is looking at an origianl replacement with a new glass rear window.

FWIW $600 complete sounds like a good deal to me.

Ask the local dealers who they farm it out to and call them.
The most expensive places are going to be the "resto" places that deal in collector cars and so forth.
Upholstery shops can be good if they do this kind of work on a regular basis.
