Default Inner Rocker Panel Problems

Hi Guys

I own a '66 Convert. and this is the first time I am every restoring a car.

My mig welding is good and my cutting out rusty ol' sheet metal is not bad either.

At the present time I have the entire passengers side openned-up. Toqure Box is cut out, Toe Board is out,Floor pan is gone, all the way to the Rear Torque Box is all clear to receiver the new Inner Rocker Panel. HOWEVER!!!

I slide the new I/R/Panel in all the way to the back of the car were its suppose to be.

The problem is: The new I/R/Panel doesn't line-up properly.
What I mean is: Its either high in the back or high in the front. Its not EVEN throuhout, from front to the rear.

I don't see anything blocking it. It just will not sit right where its suppose too.

I order the correct panel, its just won't sit evenly for some reason.

Have any you guys out there have had the same problem. If so, please give a guy some solid suggestions PLEASE.

THANK YOU ALL
GOD BLESS

Schooner [8D]

Not sure about that. Are you sure your new panel is not warped? Check out the link to the classic forum on this site, https://mustangforums.com/forumid_18/tt.htm, those guys can surely help you out.
