You won't have drag either way, as long as you're windows are up.

When it comes down to technicality and all that, the top up would probably be better. But you're not going to be racing nascar.

I personally race as much as possible with the top down. It doesn't make any bit of a noticeable difference, and i look fly doing it. :]

I run HPDE or "open-track" with my top down. Nothing is better than hitting 110 mph on the front and back staights with the air rushing around your helmet. The only downside is the wind noise on my in-car camera. Even my instructors like going "open-air".

Putting the top down puts all the weight of the top right over the rear wheels. I try to race with the top down as much as possible[8D]

As long as you dont go more then 130mph you'll be fine. I did 145mph with my top down, got a little scary. I was racing a wrx, srt4 and some ricer.

I feel like the front end gets real light with the top down over 115mph.

Some do, some don't. I know of two where the publshed rules say "Top up only"; One is quarter-mile, one is eighth. Qualcomm RaceLegal drags don't say, but let me go topless (the windows have to be up; that may be because that's where they put the numbers ... ).
