Default Sound Proof Vert

So I was just wondering if anyone knew of any ways to make a convertible quieter on the inside..if anyone had ridden in a convertible, you'll have noticed how much outside noise gets in. Anyone one know of any ways to make it more sound proof?

have you tried dynomat? its a very thick and dense layer of stuff that you can put on the whole floorpan of your car and around your trunk and it will eliminate alot of road noise. not sure how great it works in the verts, but im sure it will help. its expensive though. there is also a product called frost king which is basically the same thing, just made for insulating water heaters and stuff. we put it in our vette and it worked great.

Does yours have the headliner? You could start with that.

You can use dynomat or if you are a little lazy get a few cans of undercoating or truck bedliner in a spray can works the same as dynomat but it's sprayed on.

Get some sound deadening material and place it between your top and the headliner....Haven't tryed it myself just yet but I'm sure it should work....the material is pretty pliable like the headliner so it should fold with the top...

When I put in my cat back I got MagnaPacks which are WAAAAY loud. I pulled the panalling and spare out of my trunk and did 2 or 3 coats of spray on rubberized under coating. This did wonders. If you look at the convertable behind the back seat is an open gap for the top which is open to the trunk. The coups have metal here and the seats kill the noise. Coat the trunk and call it a day
