Default 93 LX Conv problem

Hi guys, Im new to the forum, and posted this over in another forum not knowing there was one just for convertibles.

I recently purchased a 93 LX 2.3. The body is in kinda rough shape, dents mainly no bad rust, the top looks good, but I had to put a rear window in so I opted for the plastic one because its cheaper & I thought it would be easier on the top motor moving it up & down. I have replaced, or rebuilt, both rear quarter window motors & had a helluva time adjusting all the windows.

Now that I have all that done, I went to go put the top up & it doesnt want to go now. Just my luck! It had been working fine the few times I'd moved it up or down, but now it doesnt want to work.

This is the first convertible I've ever had a problem with so I dont know anything about them. What are the components? What should I look at first? It still makes the noise like it wants to move so I don't think its anything electrical. The gold thing with the lines you see when you take the top of the backseat out, is that the pump?? Then where is the motor & how do you get to it?

I would like to see a diagram of all the working parts of the conv mechanisms, but no manual I have has anything about convertibles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
