Roll bar?

Roll bar?
Is there anyone out there that makes an actual roll bar that would run about the same place as a style bar for a new edge? I would like to maintain the use of my rear seat. I have seen one bar but it had a cross bar in from of the rear seats making them unseatable.

A roll bar needs the back bars and the harness bar to be both NHRA/IHRA legal and to work in a roll over. If you just have the main hoop it is no different than the styling bar as far as safety. That will be the issue if you want a functional roll bar - you lose the back seat as a usable seating area.

No i want a four point bar as far as mounting to the car but i don't want the harness bar, I'm not looking to make it nhra/Ihra compliant as I will not be making a track car, just would feel more safe for the chance of a rollover.

This is probably along the lines of what you're looking for: http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec.../photo_15.html
Not as strong as what Jim is talking about, and won't get the stamp of approval at the track, but better than nothing for street use.

autopower makes one, you can get it at mustangs unlimited, it looks like it will be kinda tough to get in/out of the rear, but it is still useable.
