faded black top

Default faded black top

hey guys. here lately ive got a little boot in my a@# to get my car back looking right. after alot of buffing and so forth on the car i realized my top is starting to look mighty faded. is there any tips or tricks to get it back to black? im not asking for a miracle just something to help. Thanks

Not sure if it works on canvas type materials but works on some cloths and plastics. Mothers Back to Black.

How old is the top? I ask because you might not be far from replacing the top and not needing to renew instead.

The only really good way to turn it back to original color is to dye(paint) it. Most people don't like the end result in most cases. The top ends up looking streaked or darker in one area than the others.

This is also a major project(NOT trying to talk you out of it mind you). The prep work on the convertible topping is exhausting, besides the taping off of the parts you are trying to protect from paint overspray.
