New Exhaust
In FL when they were doing emissions testing, if your car/motor was 1970 or older, than you wouldn't even have to be tested. Which is why I had to put cats on every year. (I have a '90).

But now, no one gets tested. yaaayy...(not that I'm not environmentally concious, but FL has way too many new cars compared to other states and therefore emissions testing is just a waste of $$ for the state. (cause pretty much everyone passes)(which gives us straight pipers a reason to smile).

nostang is right. In Calif. you can upgrade to a newer engine, but you can't downgrade. If I choose to put a 4.6 in my '93 5.0, I'll smog all day. But the minute they see a carb, they won't even test it.
this is something i heard to help you pass emissions, you get a cheap paper air filter, and cut some of the paper out and put plastic wrap on the inside, theres other web sites on how to cheat smog tests, id suggest u search for those

Dont worry man, i dont even know if it works, thats why im getting a 67, i wont have to worry about the damn smog checks, its just what ive heard... when i had planned on getting a newer mustang for fun i wanted to look how to cheat smog, thats all i remember about it. Theres also this stuff u mix w/ ur fuel at pep boys i noticed one day, and it said if u put it in ur gas and dont pass emissions then u mail the company and they send u like 20$ or something, might just try it, hell if it doesnt work u get 20$
