After using that sucker, try some preventative maintenance. Clean, polish and protect your paint (wax or sealant). Then the next time you have lots of bugs they'll be easier to wash off. Just trying to help. Later. Autogeek.net and autopia.org how-to's are great.

If they have been there for a long time, then you will probably find a lot of little pits/chips from the acids [:@] It will take a LOT of elbow grease (use some bug gone product and a bug sponge as mentioned above) to get them off initially, but afterwards do the polish/wax trick as mentioned and then wash your car - or at least the front bumper and mirror REGULARLY and they will wash right off
Preventive maintenance is always the best!
Maguires Yellow wax is about the best I have seen for this.
Also, this may sound a little goofy, but Pledge (yes, the furnature polish/wax) works wonders for this. I use it on my car and also airplanes! The bugs will litterally fall off with a gentle wipe with a cloth!
Good luck.

I hate bugs almost as much as the taliban. What I do is take a damp towel and lay it over the bugs to re-hydrate them. Them I wash them right off. Some of the older ones will take a few cycles of cleaning and putting the damp towel back on. After they are ALL off, keep it waxed and they will come off in just a couple of minutes each day. I do this on my bike every night and it just takes 10-15 min. a night.
