Default Looking for a Buffer/Polisher how-to-guide

I am about to purchase a Porter Cable 7424 polisher and was just wondering if anyone could point me to a GOOD! how-to-guide please. I know that the best teacher will be experience, but I would like a good guide to get me started. Thanks!

I would just like to know if the porter cable is worth the 189.99 dollars that it is .... You would think you would buy this if you waxed/buffed several different cars a day ... But is almost 200 dollars really worth it?

Tell me if it is! lol

I'll buy it and give it a try and see what I think and I will let you know. As far as it being almost $200, I guess you get what you pay for. Besides, my friends and family are always paying me to wash their cars, so once I figure out how to work it well It will start to pay for its self.

Good luck learning how to do it... Be careful or you will be paying for a few paint jobs, it's really easy to burn paint off cars.... Just keep the buffer moving, and don't apply alot of pressure...

It's very easy to "swirl" the paint with these, and, improperly used can create "haze marks" also. Plus burning as already mentioned.

As, I once heard "ya' can't complain about a good handjob"
