MOTHERBALL ????
Wuz just at Autozone, they gotta thing called a Motherball, made by Mother's. Itsa thing that looks like a nonscratching pot scrubber. It hooks on to your drill. $19.95 It's recommended for wheels, paint, etc.. For polishing / waxing.

I've got two... the Mothers PowerBall and the new Mothers PowerBall Mini (with the extension). The guys at the store say they're often called the "Foose Ball" since Chip does the TV commercials.
They're not recommended for paint, but for just about everything else.
They're made of sturdy buffing pad-like foam. So long as you wash them and let dry before you store it away, it'll last a long time. Plus it's reversible.
Think of anything you'd polish with your fingers us a towel or applicator pad, and the PowerBalls will likely do it faster, better, and easier.
Use the PowerMetal for your bare metals... aluminum, brass (not on the car -- mom's candlesticks), etc.
Use Chrome Polish on heavy chrome (watch out for cheap chrome and don't use it on plastic chrome).
Use the Plastic Polish on your yellowed headlight lenses, or on any solid and smooth plastics. (If really yellow, use PowerMetal or Mag & Aluminum first).
The thing's washable... unscrew the drill bit thingy and wash in in your sink, a bucket of suds or the washing machine. Air dry before reassembly.
Autozone's price can't be beat, but you can get them at the major auto stores.
