Can't get it clean
I posted this in the stick up top, but I guess no one read that stuff.
I cannot get my windshield clean for the life of me. I use the Meguirs stuff and it seems to be the best. I smoke like a chimney in my car and I think that is why it is so dirty. Any product designed specifically for this? Not smoking in my car is not really an option. Thanks

Try some Stoner Invisible Glass and some quality Microfiber towels. Seeing how you smoke it is really going to be hard to keep them looking good. You are also most likely going to have to clean them two or three times just to get them clean and then clean them weekly. Also break the window into section of about 6"x6" and clean that way do not try and clean the whole thing at one time focus on small areas and wrok your way around.

Itsa detail item for removing just about anything on a finish with out damaging it. Many owners use it to remove rail dust from the finish that occurs during transport, and also waterspots, and environmental fall out that damages the car's finish.
You can get them on line, and at better auto supply chains.
As far as removal of that stuff, if you can handle the fumes...... 1/4 ammonia, 1/4 vinegar, 1/2 water and used newspaper to wipe / scrub with...... will do the job perfectly. BELIEVE ME !!!!!!!! It'll work.

Mothers Glass Cleaner might be worth a try... it's a tad pricey, but its high alcohol content and ammonia-free formula make it easy and safe to use on interior glass, including window tint films.
You can also use Mothers Chrome Polish (and Glass Cleaner) on interior glass... just don't use it on window tint film (factory tint is ok because it's laminated within the glass).
There's a thread over on waxforum.com if you search for "the dreaded window problem" it might be of help.

I see that LEJAY must be my evil twin, as his post is just about word for word what I was going to write (his last paragraph, anyway). Damn. Now I have nothing to write. Damn.
This is what grams taught me more than 30 years ago, and I have yet to see ANY product work better!
Good luck,
Troy

LOL Troy.......... yeah that's an old but proven formula, from back then til now. I really don't know of anything better, regardless of price. Even the newspaper does a great job, ahead of most microfiber stuff.
