It all depends on how much you use it and how much $hit is on the car that it has to remove each time. Ive had mine for 5 years and used it about 10 times and still have alot left.

How much you use??

Dont you just spray the spray on there, and move it back and fourth?? so itll just eventually be none left.

that is incorrect. Eventually you will run out of the spray, but the clay just slides over the surface and gets damaging particles out of the finnish. Its not evaporating or deteriorating in the process. The only reason you would want to replace it is because it gets so many contaminates and harmful things in it that you dont want to be rubbing that back into your paint.

It depends on the size of the clay bar. No matter which bar you buy, you will cut it into smaller pieces. The smaller bars will yield three or so pieces while the larger ones will provide twice as many. Clay doesn't wear off. It simply gets dirty. Think of clay as an eraser for your paint. It picks up the surface contaminants such as industrial fallout brake dust, etc that make paint feel rough.

To use a clay bar, you first cut off the piece you want to use. Form it into a ball and then flatten it into a pancake. Spray the clay lube on the car and using your fingers, wipe the bar back and forth across the surface. You will hear the bar work. After a few passes, the paint will be smooth and you can move onto the next section. Wipe off the excess lube in the area with a microfiber towel and go onto the next spot. Once the surface of the clay gets dirty, simply stretch it, fold it and then form it into a pancake again to expose a clean surface. If you drop the bar on the ground, throw it away. It will be too dirty to use.
