Default Clay Bar???

I keep hearing alot about the clay bar and I'm not too sure what it is. Can someone tell me what it is, what it does, how it works and how it has worked for you? Thanks!

Clay removes bonded comtaminants from your car's finish. Things like industrial fallout, brake dust, bird droppings, sap and grime make your paint feel rough. Clay pulls these off the surface and leaves it baby smooth. Then you can polish the paint and wax it. It is a very good thing to do at the start of any detail.

This site may help.
http://www.web-cars.com/detail/clay.php

autogeek.net is also a good reference. It's like the old commercial Try it you'll like it. It does wonders for your shine.

I can vouch for it too....It's a long process, but it really works well. You can tell a big difference on an area clay-bar'd over a area non-worked. Ater a good coat of wax it's a smoothe as a baby's a$$!
