DOnt go vinyl!!! ALways paint them on looks better and then they sit flush with the color.... 8 inch stripes.... any skinnier and the car will look sickly lol

I would lean towards getting a detail shop to paint the stripes on. Does anyone have a link to good pictures and descriptions of the racing stripes on classic Mustangs?

For vinyl strips check out www.graphic-express.com, although I think a great deal of patience and skill is required to get the full length stripes on straight and without bubbles. I have seen a few cars with this product and they looked pretty good. But as everyone says, paint is better.

I had this old POS like 8 years ago... put some black stripes on it (vinyl)... one day (sunny day) got some dust on them and my buddy thought it would be funny to draw some dicks on them with his finger.. you would think, no harm just dust.. well those marks dont come off... so i wouldnt suggest vinyl. I think what the other said about painting them on is the best way. But also dont forget , it aint gonna be cheap, and once they are on.. they are on... I dunno... i would just save the money and put it under the hood.. IMHO...

good luck
