Hey everybody...TGIF!! anyway, i have a '95 GT and i really want to put a 5.0 badge on it. two reasons: i don't like the way the GT badge looks(it's more of a script look than the blocky of the newer ones) and because every idiot in the world is trying to tell me my car sucks because it's so old, 5.0s get respect and most people don't realize the '95 has the 5.0 engine. i'm asking people's opinions because i don't wanna be ricey and put badges on my car that don't belong and it IS a real 5.0...i just want respect lol. anyway i'd really appreciate opinions. thanks

 

Hey man, I say if you got a 5.0 then there's nothing wrong with putting a 5.0 badge on the car. It's not rice if it applies. You could put a 302, 5.0 or GT neither one would be incorrect.

It's definately not stupid. It's preference. Would you rather call your car a GT, a 5.0 or 302. Neither one is stupid. It would on the other hand be stupid/ricey to put a Cobra emblem on a GT. (unless you went through all the trouble of makeing it a Cobra)

 

i totally agree. then i think it's settled. did ya'll read the post about the gt with like cobra badges and saleen stuff or something. i don't know it was a monster though(like frankenstein, not monster meaning fast) that's what i'm trying to stay away from, but i agree since it really IS a 5.0 then it's ok

 

Put what ever you feel like on it. I saw that one post where the newb to the forum showed off his riced out GT but replaced the badges with cobras and saleen stickers every where. He had a walmart taz steering wheel cover and a mirror made of crome in the shape of flames. Not to mention his hood scoop looked like the one on the ram air cameros and it was like 4 inches high.

 

Yes, but remember there were more than a few unpleasant comments made about that ugly thing.

 

Lol yea, kinda sucked cause that dude was new to the forum and never seen him since I was subtle as hell but others dissed him so bad even EYE almost cried

 

Put the 5.0 badges on and hold your head high

 

Instead of badges i just made my license plate boldly say "5 0"

But i agree, the 5.0 badges would look good on our body style because it's true, not many people know what they are, especially if you get aftermarket wheels, etc.

I can't tell you how many people have asked if it's a 98. [:@]
