Glass Cleaning
Hey guys,
Busy today on detailing the car.....the full deal: clay bar, polish, glaze, wax...etc. Well I have those annoying lil spots all over my side windows, and I have scrubbed and scrubbed on them trying to get rid of them to no avail. Well a while back someone said maybe trying a clay bar would work....and it freaken worked! If you have those stupid spots all over your windows, try some detailing spray and the clay bar....it cleaned my windows off with very little effort. I was so excited, because every morning when I leave for work, I can see all that stuff on the windows (along with my scratched tint), and it annoyed me really badly, and now its gone. Just hopin this will help some of you people out.

P.S. I had tried all kinds of window cleaners and none of them got rid of the spots, but the clay bar did the trick in like 30 seconds. Awesome!!

Good call. If I may add a cheaper alternative, because not all people have a clay bar sitting around. Some very, very, very fine grit steel wool, and some glass cleaner. Do not, I repeat DO NOT use it on your side view mirrors or headlight housings. Wet the window down completely with the glass cleaner, then scrub it gently with the steel wool. Wipe it dry, then clean it with some good glass cleaner (I prefer Stoner's Invisible Glass).
I use Stoner's glass cleaner AND tire shine. Great products. Also, consider this product that I buy every year at the NYC Auto Show: www.z-bestcarwax.com It is not only the easiest wax to use but also will absolutely not leave the slightest bit of haze residue on your car. Rub on, wipe off with a clean terry towel. That's it! One other less known use of this wax if for "window" cleaning. Works faster and better than RainX. Cleans unbelievably well and protects your windows from all kinds of bird droppings, acid rain and other nasty contaminants. Water just sheets off both the car's finish and windows. Good product.
Very nice. I actually use a pretty high grade wax on my cars (not sure of the name right now). I get all my stuff from a local guy, and it's top notch stuff. But the idea of waxing windows is actually really good. I do it all the time, and you're right, it works better than Rain-X, last longer, and keeps stuff like bugs and bird "presents" off your windshield, too.
