Default Potentially bad..need help

I've got the matte finish titanium lower half (two tone paint job), and while washing it at a Ford dealership I put some degreaser on the front end to get some of the bugs off (I used to work there, did this with every vehicle and never had a problem). Apparently the matte finish is different though, because it put dark streaks all over the titanium colored parts! Soap didn't work, teflon wax didn't work, nothing so far has been successful. Does anyone have any more suggestions on things to try? It looks horrible, and repainting all of the titanium pieces (gotta match color) will cost several hundred dollars...Gah!

Is the matte finish original? If not, check with the paint maker. If it is, look in your owner's handbook for care.

Probably a pre-wax cleaner is in order to freshen the finish. Try in an inconspicuous area and see how it looks.
