Default Dash cleaning--bad armorall?

My dash has collected a lot of dust, and I've never really cleaned it besides with some damp paper towels..
Then my buddy applied Armorall to the passenger side of the dash, and it made it look 100 times better, it doesnt look nearly as dull, looks like a nice shiny black
But then I read online that armorall is bad and it will eventually lead to cracking?
What products would you recomment for a plastic dashboard?

Armor all will crack it. I used some NXT Tech wax on ours once and it made it really shiny. THe only problem I had was the guage bezel was so shiny that it reflected in the windshield and I couldnt see the stop light. Luckily it was green.

i have heard that armorall isnt the best for your car but it wont hurt it after just that one application IMO. If you go to Pep-Boys or another local parts store you will find a lot of interior cleaners. I use Meguires Quick Interior Detailer Wipes but there are a lot of sprays that work well too. I have one that I really like ill get back to you with the name of it.

Someone posted something about armor all a while ago saying that it dries stuff out, personally thats all I have ever used on my car and probably will continue to....armor all has been around forever and never heard anything bad about it until I read it on here one day, I think it does a great job on the interior. Just curious rmodel65 why does it dry plastic out and cause it to be brittle?

Armor all does not dry stuff out anymore. It used to have alchohol in it. It is now water based. Another option would be Natural Look. It is a mild cleaner and has UV protectant. It also smells very good(like cherries).

I use the Armorall wipes in my interior and was thinking about switching to Meguiars. Do you think it's necessary?

If you are happy with the Armorall, I would just keep using that.
