Default Good Interior CLEANER

Im looking for a good interior cleaner...not a protectant and not some pu$$y A$$ detailing wipes...i went to detail a car this weekend and i couldnt get the shoe scuff marks off of the trim panel in the door jam. Anyway what do you guys use as a good cleaner.

Thanks-GB

Some scuff marks are just that - "marks" that you may be stuck with forever But a lot of elbow grease will be needed to get rid of most of (or maybe all) of the scuff.

Not sure what they make in the "auto" sections, but back in the day I found Murphy's Oil Soap to be very good at cleaning/degreasing the plastic parts of my interior. It will remove all/any cleaners & protectants, so you'll want to follow that up with a layer or Armor All or something similar.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser should take out most of or all of your scuff marks. An all purpse cleaner of some kind should work too. Sometimes I use an interior brush to scrub on bad spots on the vinyl. Then follow up with a protectant.

I can tell you for a fact, that scuff marks, or marks of any kind can be removed off of leather, vinyl, plastics, whatever. You can't do it yourself though. You can't because you need to be able to replace the topcoat. The product I use, will strip the topcoat off. No big deal if you have the know how though

If it's like a black shoe scuff mark on lighter trim, oddly Mothers Leather Cleaner seems to have something in it to clean scuffs off vinyl/plastic. You could probably also try Goo Gone, if it's appropriate for the finish.

Get Poorboy's Natural Look (available at autogeek.net). It cleans and protects. Great stuff.
