It really depends on your budget, how often you want to wax, what kind of gloss or finish. After, washing, claybar, paint cleaner, and polish, I use a sealant first. I like Klasse, but their are many out there. After that I use Meguiar's NXT Tech wax followed by Pinnacle Series II. There are so many waxes out there. They range from a couple bucks to 1500.00. Try some and see what you like.

I've always had awesome results with Poorboys Natty's blue and ClearKotes carnuba wax. Most of your reflection, gloss, and that deep look come from the prep work. I would claybar the car first to get all the contaminants out of the paint. Then I would follow with a good polish/swirl remover to get out all the imperfections. Lastly follow with a sealant or wax or both.

Zaxjax hit it on the head-there are so many waxes out there. You can get cheap waxes and you can get really expensive waxes. Just try some out and see what you like.

Once I get my next paycheck I'm going to be giving my car it's first big cleaning (probably ever). I'm going to use a claybar to start then use Zaino for finish. I haven't actually used this stuff myself but I've seen my friends car after he used it and his silver Mazda 3 looked like a mirror. If you search you can find all kinds of discussions about the different waxes everyone likes and pictures of their cars after they used them.

I just went and picked up NXT tech wax today, i spent about 3 hours doing the stang and i was really happy with this wax. my paint was in very good shape to begin with but it needed a new wax, Im very happy with it!! the car just looks sick now!! I love that wet look
make sure if you get whatever wax you decide, get microfiber pads to apply your wax with and a terry cloth towel to wipe it off,

how many coats did you use to take up 3 hours?

i used Poorboys Natty's Pate wax on my moms pearescent Lexus...it really put some depth into the paint...harder to remove that i expected but each wax is unique

That's another thing about NXT..easy to remove with no residue and the mircofiber cloth and applicators are a MUST...
