It's really idiot proof. As long as long have enough lube on, you're fine. You'll tell when you don't, you will feel a pull or the clay gets stuck. This is assuming your using a mild clay. I have never heard of anyone pull paint off.

IO details at work all day and we use a clay bar a lot. To me it works wonders to get off tar, overspray, and just about anything. It really helps get the car a lot cleaner. i would recomend it to anyone really. And I have never seen one damage a car.

The only way it would damage a car is if you dropped it on the ground. I like to break the claybar up into 3 pieces. Use one to clay and put the other ones in a container. That way if you drop it you can use one of the other pieces. If you dropped a whole claybar you basically wasted the whole thing.

Yeah, you're not going to damage your car but you are going to strip off the wax by using it, so if you plan on doing it after school today, plan on waxing the car after you finish.

Break/cut the bar into three pieces before you use it. One piece should be enough to do your car a few times. If you drop it on the ground, throw it away and graba new piece. You will want to wash the car beforehand. You don't need to wash it afterwards.
