Amen my brother. Unless you are going to "pimp" it out, and if that's the case... Uhg... 18's are the way to go.....
Ok I have a Question, I have a 2007 and my friends with toasters (Scion XB) want me to put 20s on it, but im wanting to do the Mach 1 rims with a 18x9 in the front and a 18x10.5 in the back and for the back I want to put a tire on there that has a little more side wall, to make it look like the jacked up 70 mach 1.. any ideas?? HELP!!!! thanks guys!!
For whatever reason, I think 20's have a place but only on the new S197 body stangs. Something about the body and fender lines makes them look more "in place" than on a SN-95/New Edge stang. But with thewrong tires (which most people put on) they just lookstupid. If you put 20's on a new stang, just be sure to lower the car like Saleen does or it will look like a 4x4 [:'(], and get the right tires with more sidewall.
But if you are even marginally concerned about dyno'ing or drag'ing the car, don't by 20's - trust me [8D]

If you're going with 20's just make sure they are tasteful. I think the biggest mistake people make with wheels of any size, is not choosing the ones that compliment the car. Good luck with whatever you decide, and remeber it's most important that you like them. It's your money and your ride!
