My dad got an '03 Cobra not too long ago, and for Christmas he asked me to get him some cowl hood stripes andbumper inserts for it. The vinyl ones. And I know it's the 29th, past Christmas, but I figured better late then never. So I went on graphic-express.com and ordered him the inserts for, supposedly, a 1996-2004 Mustang Cobra, or so it said in the catalog. So I added them and payed and what not and on the receipt, it saysthey're for a1996-2000 only?! [:@] My question was, is there REALLY a difference betweenthe lettering on the bumper of a1996 Cobra and a 2003 Cobra? I know the whole bumper is different on the '03's and '04's but I'm assuming the letters are the same??? I would normally just tell them to switch the original order of 96-00 inserts with 03-04 because they're the same price, but they closed the store and online/phone cusomer servicefor some annual holiday break until Jauary 4th. HELP.

Edit: TheyDID ask me to fill out a form telling info about the car, so I filled it out as my dad's 03 Cobra. Maybe they'll see the form and automatically change the order to 03-04 inserts? I was allowed to fill in three different cars... but seeing as I said an 03 Cobra, not a 96-00, they'll change the order or call me before prosessing it?

 

I'm 99% sure the earlier Cobras had "Mustang" on the back bumper. Your dad's terminator will have "Cobra" on the bumper. Maybe they'll catch it themselves. []

 

Well 99 and up's bumperhad "COBRA" written on it, I'm almost positive about that. Anything below that's bumperhad "MUSTANG" on itbut then again, anything below a 99 was a completely different body style... anyway I hope so too.

Well that's good and all, but is it the same style of writing? Could there be differences between the font? My pesimistic side is saying there's small enough difference... hence the "1996-2000" kit opposed to "2003-2004"

 

sorry to bust your *****, but how do you not know that? the 03 COBRA letting is much bigger then the older cobras.

 

The 94-98 style letters are smaller than the 03-04 style.

Evidently I don't know the difference... why elsewould I be asking? I've never wanted or owned a Cobra so I don't know all that much about em, let alone the size and font of the lettering on the bumper But anyway thank you for the info, I guess I just need to call the store when they re-open on the 4th and hopefully I can intercept the order if it's not too late... they're in FL, only a couple hours away from me, so that always helps.

 

94-98 have cobra smaller and 03-04 have cobra bigger, the 99-02 i believe just have mustang
