Default Wax windows?

This might be a very very stupid question but can you wax your windows so that you have no streaks or anything. I'm not trying to be a moron but I really want to know if this is possible or stupid before I do it.

I wax all of my windows except the windshield. I've always heard that it would cause streaking when you use the wipers. I'm not sure if it's true or not. I just didn't take the chance.

Old thread I know but I heard a trick auto detailers use. They crumple up old newspapers and use them to remove windex or whatever window detergent you like to use.
It's "suposed" to really shine the glass

Heh, now this is a response that's worth digging up a post.

I have tried the newspaper trick, it does work pretty good. I still prefer using rain-x.
