targa top for convertible?
is it possible for the targa top kit (on mustangtuning.com from jms) to be used on a vert? or is it really only doable on a coupe.
does anyone know anything about the kit?

is that the kit that turns your roof into t-tops? that kit is pretty dam sweet. i wouldnt think it would work for a vert. what, do you want both of best worlds?? lol. vert and t-tops!!
I haven't seen anyone on here claiming to have used the kit... call the shop up that makes them and ask... let us know what they say though I love my Convertible too much to put anything on it :P
has anyone ever dealt with JMS inc before? they are the company that makes the targa, but the website looks really unprofessional, so i was wondering if anyone knows anything about them -
either way, to answer the question, i found some info on the site that claims a vert version will be available soon.
but before id consider the option i wanna know if they are reputable as far as reliability and quality , since it would be a major purchase.

theyre really a good company...small but good, they make all theyre stuff as people order them. As far as i know that targa top system is only for the hard tops because it just cuts a section out of the roof and puts a little top there.
thats good to hear,
oh and an update for people with convertibles and who may be interested as i was,
I emailed the address from jms website and asked them directly.
they said the ARE working on making a vert targa kit in which the entire shell WILL be removable. I assume this means the convertible top would still be operational. they said it would take 2 people or a special hoist (that they would offer as well) to get the thing on and off - but thats fine since it would probably be a seasonal thing(at least for me).
couldnt realy get any more details than that. if anyone has anything else to add or any comments, by all means speak
