Default blacking out my interior

i have a 93 gt with the gray interior with black accents. i really want black with minimal gray but i dont have all the money to replace all the gray parts i want so i figured i would just paint some parts black. i popped the ac vents out no problem but the bezel around them are kind of tricky and i really dont want to break them trying to pry them out. i was wondering what the right way or the easy way to pop them out was. id appreciate any feedback.

thats a tough one, just be careful, I have an 86' and I have already started painting some of the interior already. It has tan/black interior which I am going to go all black as well, look online and you can find tools to remove interior parts just be careful because the clips are pretty old and might snap off, just have another hand with you and make sure to wiggle the peieces around evenly, thats what I did when I painted some ofmy pieces.

i would just stay away from the whole painting of the interior, even with krylon fusion paints for plastics. i took this route once with my 91 toyota pickup when i was 17, and there is nothing more i regret then doin that. im tellin u i would just save your money, and purchase the real black parts. in the end it will be worth it b/c u dont have to worry about bad paint jobs and how it is going to look in 2 years. plus it makes your car smell. and ur going to be so pissed in a couple of years when it lookgs bad. you will regret it everyday. there is no need to ruin the interior of ur car b/c of lack of money. if it's worth doin then its worth doin right, thats just my two cents tho

i never understood the whole painting the interior the same color as the exterior. i hate the way it looks and would never do it. also i have seen some painted interiors and would deffinatly say dont do it. it will eventually chip or flake. then you have to resand and do it all over again. i would just stay with the color you have or save and get the oem black parts. good luck and send pics is you decide to do it!

thanks guys, yeah ill definitely just save up and get the right parts for it instead of just putting a temporary solution on it that might go bad anyways. and to jad1217, i just want my interior black to match the exterior because i think black on black looks pretty good. i still havent painted it yet though, im trying to decide between a dark gun metal gray or a high gloss jet black. i had a 69 mustang and i got it painted the dark gray and it looked REALLY nice and i cant decide on going back with that color or blacking out my car (paint, tint, interior, black cobra r's, but most definitely not the headlights or taillights). if anybody has any opinions about what i should get it painted, feel free to tell me. ps- i see a lot of black mustangs foxes around here but theyre all pretty rough looking.
