Default California Duster

I got one for Christmas. I laid it out on a cardboard box for probably a couple of days. I went to use it and it left this lint crap all over. I know the packaging said to expect excess oil the first couple of times you use it, but I didn't expect lint. A car covered in lint is just as bad as dust [&:]

I haven't even used it since...has anyone had the same happen?

I have one, it works like a charm!

After you use it for the first 5 times or so leave it out of the packaging so it can air out every time .. also when your done with it shake it off

dont worry it only gets better!

GL!

Hmmm...not sure what the little black spots would be...try using it more often in an area that would not be a big deal, like below pass side or so. I noticed that my duster is dirty, but I just shake it off some. Do not wash, one dude this and the duster got all scrwed up.

i used to use one until i saw it scratch my paint. was using correctly and not applying force, but got scratch anyways. retired the duster and started using very soft microfiber towels. takes a little longer, but i don't mind.

If your duster is full of lint, then somebody must have washed it [&:] Put it in the dryer by itself on low heat or no head with a static sheet and that should remove most of the lint. Then shake the sh%t out of it prior and after each use - should be good to go. I swear by mine - I never cover my car or touch it with any cleaning product without dusting it off first.

As for the scratches, its a duster not a dirt remover. Sounds to me like you picked up a piece of sand or rock/dirt in it and thats what scratched it up.
