Before I get bashed for rice, it is to help cover the part that is not tinted on my rear window.

Does anyone have pics of like a 2000+ 'Stang with that sort of thing on it? I searched the boards and google but could not find any pics. Any idea if it would look good or bad? Based off the picture I can't make a mental image.

Hmm, I dont like the one in the picture, but it seems like a good idea to cover up the dot matrix. If you can find a picture of one on a mustang then we could tell you if we like it or not.

 

why dont you just spend the 100 dollars it would cost to buy that and use that money to get your window tinted the right way

 

Please do tell what the right way is. I used a shop to tint my windows w/ lifetime guarantee type thing. They would not tint the dot matrix area...well they would but would not warranty it. I notice there are a lot of stangs that way, and there are other work arounds - but nothing I really want to bother with or implement. If the wing/shade does not look bad and look out if it looks good - I don't mind going that route.

This is just a request to see if anyone else has it - w/pics since I can not locate anything on google.

That pic does it no justice...especially since it is on an F-body...not something that would appeal to me though....but thats just me...I had my windows tinted as well and they didn't do the dot matrix either...but it still looks good to me...you really have to get up close to it to tell...I'd go without that wing...seems like something you'd see on a Focus or something...but maybe i'm wrong might not look bad on a mustang

 

I had my dot matrix tinted and it does not look bad at all. You can still tell that its there, but much less than if you didnt tint it at all.

 

Hmmmm. Now I'm gonna feel stupid but, what is a dot matrix? And by the way it doesn't look that bad. I seen it on a camaro today.

 

Dot Matrix is the little black dots that go around the 2 small side windows, Across the top of the back window, and in the middle behind the rear view mirror(at least on my car)

I'm thinking another option might be to keep the existing tint in place and have another peice tinted across the dot matrix part. When it goes bad, pull it and retint. Won't be that expensive and sure beats messing up the current lines of the 03 Stang. The rear wing thingy might look good, but since I can't find ANY pics on a LM mustang...that is not a good sign. If it looked that great, people would consider it a standard exterior mod like the chin spoiler and all that.
