i wana paint my car...i was thinking black..just because ive always loved black cars...but my paint isnt bad now..so im still trying to decide...but i was wondering if you guys had seen any crazy good looking paint jobs....nothing to ricey but i was tryi ng to find something besides what im thinking...another black mustang...

 

Black is a great color, but a pain in the rear to keep...still..I would have not trade it for another color. having said that, have you seen the dark gray (for lack of better name) in the 07 Stang models?..it rocks....

 

yeah dude mineral grey is the BOMB. lol or do like black with like light grey ghost flames or sumthing...tht would look MEAN.

 

How about a 2-tone "ala Chip Foose" with a separating pinstripe accent. I've thought about doing the lower half of my car silver with a red pinstripe.

 

I actually was about to start a very similar thread. I want to paint my car a charcoal dark grey color. I've seen various mustangs 99-04 mustangs around town with this factory color. I'm new to the forum and a little ignorant on the paint codes/schemes. Does anybody know what the name of this color is or what the color code is? It's not quite black. It's a deep dark grey color. I was thinking fo taking mine to Earl Scheib and getting their Pearlpaint package. It's a 3 coat finish with a 4th coat of clear coat. My mother had the cheapeast paint package done on her car. It turned out pretty decent. Does anybody else have anything good or bad to say about them or have any other recommendations?

 

i know what your going through! i've been thinking about painting mine black also. i love the color and out of the 3 cars i own this is the only one that isn't. i want it to be black but im afraid that it will look crappy. but the more i look at my car the more i notice that the previous owner scratched her and covered it up with a marker...

just makes me wanna shoot myself in the face...

 

i thought about painting it lie a royal blue....would look great with the chrome rims...and the black interior.. imo
