Default Need some detailing assistance

Hello,
I picked up my 07 vert Wednesday night and I want to bring out the show quality paint from the factory. I read the add for 5 star shine and if that does what they say then I should not need wax right?
I want to protect my baby, This is my daily driver and I want to protect the paint.
Please reccomend the top of the line products.
Thank you as always,
Paul

The 5 Star Shine thing is just a gimmick. This has been around for a while and is a waste of money.

The prep work is the key to an awesome finish. Even though your car is new it should probably be claybarred to take out any contaminants in the paint. Then I would probably use a mild polish. If you have minor swirls use a light abrassive polish or even a chemical polish. Next I would apply a glaze to really make the paint look wet and pop.Now apply Poorboys EX-P sealant for great durability and nic reflectionNext apply a carnuba wax over the top of that. That should really make your paint look deep, reflective, and wet.

I carry some excellent products. They can be put on in the direct sunlight and don't have residue. They go on easy and come off easy. Here are the products I recommend for your color of car:

Wash
Claybar- I carry the Poorboys 4 oz. clay with container or you could get one over the counter
Polish-Poorboys SSR1 for light swirls or Poorboy Pro Polish as an excellent cleaner/chemical polish
Glaze-ClearKote Red Moose glaze
Sealant-Poorboys EX-P sealant
Wax-Natty's blue paste wax or ClearKote Carnuba wax

This combo will give awesome results. You will have excellent durability and the paint will look amazing! Let me know if you have any product questions!

Pinnacle,Wolfgang,Poorboys,Optimum, and ClearKote all run in the same category. They are all boutique brands that you can't get over the counter. I used the 3 brands that I carry in my detailing business before I started even selling them. I really like the ease of use, the fact that you can use them in the direct sunlight, and because they have no residue.

90% of how a vehicle looks is in the prep work. That is where the best finish comes from. Your clay, polish, swirl remover, and glazes are what get your car looking the best. The waxes and sealants just add a little more look and protect what you did in the prep stages.
