did you use some sort of alcohol to remove the existing wax for the paint around the chip? the touch up paint wont come off with the clay bar, but in a few weeks it will start chipping if you didnt strip the wax off around the area first

yea my dad got some sort of alcohol or cleaning stuff and put it on a rag and i wiped the area down then used the touch up

I had touch up paint on mine when I did the clay and it didnt come on it was fine

yea you should be good then, i made that mistake once....i was like wtf this chip keeps showing up....felt like an idiot when i realized i didnt clean the other wax off first

well I spent 250-300 for all my detailing supplies, but its a one time purchase, the rest is just when products are getting low, to reorder them.

But I love using my Porter Cable and Pads on the car, its fun and makes the car look soo much better...

ive got a jar of wax in my fridge that was like 80 bucks ! haha
do a search for zymol .....its called titanium, its the best wax i have EVER used. if it stayes out of the fridge for too long, it goes bad

more than just wax...I used my PC with cutting pads and polishes and sealants...

and yes 250...see what Juztang can do for little to nothing...he sells poorboys products for a reason.

is that porter cable a high speed rotary buffer? or is it an orbital.... dont think im tryin to talk down to you by askin questions man...haha
but the rotary buffer is about as big as a sawz all. and the other one just spins randomly.

its a 7336 PC with a 5oz. counter weight so it spins randomly ...so as not to burn up the paint.
that was the most expensive, but as you could see in the pics, It needed it!

and the pics, I think it was maybe 1 coat of wax, I might not have gotten to it yet even.
