I bought a blow thru carb turbo fox body about 2 months ago. It has been at my buddy's shop since I bought it cause electrically it was a mess. So far we have the entire interior carpet seats everything out. We rewired the whole car, relocated and boxed the battery in the trunk, replaced fuel cell and plastic piping with new braided hoses from cell to pump, Car is getting painted next week Gunmetal Grey.

I have a few questions and would love input.
I want to swap in a 99-04 Black Leather Interior. What is the easiest way to do this or is there a better alternative?

 

Your gonna have a lot of cutting/reforming to do if you want that interior in a fox. I assume you want the dash, door panel, everything right?? The only thing you won't have a problem with are the seats, they are all interchangable.

 

okay...thank you, someone had told me that the interior swaps rather easily but I figured it had to be more difficult. Are there any alternatives if I want a more modern interior.

 

customize the stuff you have.Example; find newer style power door switches and graft then in(Fashionably of course), find cup holders and graft them into the ash tray location(I have been trying to find cup holders for a while now to do that), graft a newer style stang console in, ipod ready your car, newermodel seats, explorer overhead console(I will be doing this to my bronco).

Things I plan to do is;
recover the lower section of my door panels and take out the map pockets
Find 2005+ door handles andbezel(the new oneshave the door lock buttonin the bezel)
find some 03-04 mach 1front seats and delete the rear seat
the previously mentioned above cup holder thing
get an ipod dock custom grafted into my console
defrost my back glass(I have a notch)
That is just a few things I want to do.


Just use your imagination.

I don't know about the interior swaps, but there has to be more then just take old off and slap new in. Hope that gave you some ideas.
