Question
I'm painting my car its a convertible and I'm wondering how because i know theres a way but how to remove the molding thats on the top of the door where to door meets the glass.. and the molding around the convertible top where the boot that goes on when the tops down. Also the mirrors.. Heres a picture. by the way my cars a fox body.
According to some fox restrorers around here....GOOD LUCK. You are better off masking it off and leaving it on. Unless you are very luck they are a bitch to pull up and off without damaging them. But I believe Late Model Restoration sells all those replacement pieces. Not sure on the windshield A-piller pieces.
As for the front fendermoldings, those are easy. When you take off the center "grated" piece in the middle of the hood/windshield off (4 screws) then you can pull those 2 pieces up.
