What's glaze about?
What does glaze do that a really good wax doesn't? When I apply the two, I can't really tell a difference. The wax feels better. That 's about it. I'm trying to get the wettest/shiniest show quality look possible.
If you are using a clay bar, then you will really want to make sure you glaze before wax....if you are just washing and re-applying some wax, then you don't need the glaze.....IMO
A glaze makes your paint look wetter and deeper. Most glazes have fillers that hide light imperfections. I always use a glaze when show prepping a car. I think it adds a pretty noticeable difference.
I would wash/dry, clay bar, Polish with Optimum Polish, the apply ClearKote Red Moose Glaze, and then top it with some carnuba wax like Poorboys Natty's Blue. Glaze to me adds some gloss and adds to the wetness. RMG is a great glaze. Glazes add no protection.
