WOWW!
I put these pics on the Saleen post, but thought some of my fellow wax freaks would appreciate the.
This is my wife's "7 year old" Benz.
The white speckles in the garage pic are reflections of the individual pieces in the popcorn ceiling.
The picture of the clouds is actually my hood--you can see reflection of me taking pic.
After thirty-five years of waxing, I think I've come close to the right combination--including the Porter Cable.

A lot of great posts here have "reflected" the secret to success:
1) clay bar
2) polish
3) wax
4) top coat
The products I use are from a local detailing distributor--www.detailsupplywhse.com, but Juzstang at Obsessivedetail.com carries comparable products (this is not a paid advertisement).
I use the Medium Leveler Compound(you don't have to),Moose Wax, Fat Bob's, then Total Eclipse.
I also like to layer every other wax--alternate between Fat Bob's and Total Eclipse.
The Porter Cable is the tool of choice--I like to mist the foam pad with the Total Eclipse.
The results are what lets me charge $250-$400 a car--in my spare time--it's a passion and good stress releaver.
Lastly, it takes time, patience, and practice.
Good Waxing!
P.S.--I'll send pictures of my "white" '96 Saleen--for those on the other end of the color spectrum.

Noticed that Juztang--obsessesivedetail.com carries the
ClearKote Vanilla Glaze
ClearKote Moose Wax
ClearKote Carnauba Wax
for the Fat Bobs, check www.detailsupplywhse.com
it was dark by the time I finished my '96--I'll snap a couple more in the daylight
Well, time to tuck her in.
