Turtle Wax Ice
I bought this today to try it. I'm pretty picky about what i use on my car, and have been using Adam's Butter Wax after trying various different products. Today I tried the Ice on my car and was kind of unsure about it. I put it on and in seemed greasy. It went on super easy.. but felt weird when I took it off.
After wiping it down twice with a microfiber towel, it did not have that waxed feel to it.. so I decided to put a coat of Adam's wax on it too.
I have to say.. I have never seen my car look this good in a while. I attribute it to the Turtle Wax Ice..
I do think that a good traditional wax is needed before or after.. but this stuff is like putting on a few coats of glaze.. but a lot easier. It really gives a deepness to the finish.
Tonight I decided to fix up my mom's Jaguar.. It's black.. they use a damn gas station car wash.. and live off a dirt road.. so the paint was a nightmare.
I used Adam's polish first.. then Optimum's Poly Seal.. then Adam's Buttery wax... all by hand...
It looked OK.. then i decided to give the Ice another shot.. and man.. did it make a difference. Really hid the swirl marks and other damage.
All in all..at first this stuff feels strange.. but my first impression is that is can't be used alone.. but is great for a really deep finish in conjunction with a more traditional wax. Much better than the wax by itself. Also.. it makes the plastic moulding look great.... also leather.. would probably look good on clean tires too.

I've had excellent luck with ICE. The biggest problem most people have with it is, they use way too much. A little goes a very long way. You just need enough to barely dampen the surface....
I also found ICE car soap about a week ago. Excellent results. Basically no water spotting, and we have very hard water here. Very impressed with it. I would like to hear from someone that has used the ICE liquid clay bar....

I use ICE on mine also. Its easy to use too much but usually my car comes out looking great. Bout time for a wax job though. My buddy uses meguiar's products but the ice seems to do just as good of a job.
I probably used too much on my car.. that's why it felt strange.. It's like I had to wipe it off twice. I do that anyway with wax; wipe with dampened microfiber towel.. then with dry to buff.. but this felt different.
I would for sure try it though. .it's pretty cheap.. and seems like a bottle would go a long way. And like I said.. at least it makes the plastic look great (mirrors, window moulding).

I have ICE. I think its good for a quick "wax". I find it useful for getting rid of those sunny day carwash water marks. I have a black car so its tough and using too much can be a pain as it will take more elbow grease to get off espcially on the hood. In all ICE is good but as stated above by itself its not going to give you that super smooth finish a traditional wax will.
I use the Ice products and I really like the results. The liquid clay bar really gets the surface clean, it's a little bit of a p.i.t.a. but worth it. You need to work a small area at a time because it dries really fast. I like the paste better than the liquid, it's easier to control how much you use. Finish it off with the detailing spray and it looks great.

Does this mean what I think? I was always
scared of getting wax on my black trim
and mouldings for fear of them turning
white as you see a lot of with all those
bad wax jobs out there. I always stay
clear of my mirrors and window mouldings
along with the grill and the trim strips on
the roof. Whats the thoughts here?
