Default Scratch X

My headlights are begining to get that 'nasty' look.. Not yellowish or anything but just begining...

I was told you could put some scratch X on it and make it look good as new... is this true?

adam, im getting the same problem with my headlights (well starting to) im just going to wait for a while until they get worse, if you look at them there is a protective coating over them, i want to wait until its mostly gone before i get rid of it completely

I bought some Plast-X for cleaning the bugs off my clear headlights. I used it on my friend's car that had an ugly brownish tint on her headlights. I rubbed the stuff on and buffed it off.....they looked like new! She told me her headlights are brighter too! You can also use Plast-X on scratched CDs.

on my 01, I had to wet sand them (3 steps)and then used Plast-X to smooth them. By the way, I took the car to the dealer bitching about them and they told me that nobody had ever complained about this. I had to wear my hip waders so I wouldn't step in the bull****.

Lol! ... Well i dont need to do the 3 step process yet. Like SVTbill was saying they are just 'begining' to get the stuff on them and i was just wondering if this scratch X stuff worked for it? Eh i guess ill just let them go bad and then buy new ones [:@]

Plastic headlights need regular care to keep them looking new. In time dirt and grime bakes itself onto the lens and eventually turns them yellow. So keep after them and they should look new for a very long time.

Scratch X is for paint.
You want Plasticx for your headlights.
Plasticx with the mothers powerball will work miracles if you need to work with some deeper sractches on Plastic.
Check out Meguiars online forum for more information on using Plasticx.
