Default Detail Question!!

Ok so I recently got a Porter Cable 7424 orbital buffer for my bday. I was just wondering, if anyone may have one, what they use applicator wise. Im thinkin about just geting some foam bonnets to apply polish, and some microfiber bonnets to apply wax, any suggestions?

I think you are talking about the foam pads. You will need a backing plate to accomodate all the different pads. The backing plate has velcro so the pads go on and off real easy.

I have a nice "Starter Kit" for the PC that is really popular. It includes a 5 inch flexible backing plate, orange light cutting pad, 2 white polishing pads, and a gray finishing pad. They are made by Lake Country which is the highest quality pads and backing plate you can get. Check this out on my website at http://www.obsessivedetail.com/buffer.html

Let me know if you have any questions.

By the way, I also carry some good polishes and glazes that will work great with the PC. Check them out too!

Grats on the awesome gift. I just bought one and cant wait to use it Friday and post up some results.

I bought these pads, from properautocare.com (cant recall how much, came in a kit)

Justin also sells pads on his site and can probably point you in the right direction.

Dont forget the pics! lol

Congrats to all of you who have invested in a PC--best detailing investment you'll ever make.

I prefer the 6" mounting plate with the pads pictured.
