I'm sure others will respond - you can also go to the autogeek detailing website - they have lots of guides.

Yes - first you wash then wax for the most basic detailing. You should apply the wax with an applicator - microfiber or cotton. It should have instructions on how to apply. Sometimes using a circular motion leaves swirl marks - depends a lot on the color of the car - darker colors show swirl marks more. I use overlapping staright strokes. Microfiber towels are recommended for wiping off - usually do one section at a time - when it dries - buff off with a micofiber towel.

Like I said - this is very basic - lots of more detailed info and opinions on this forum and online.

Good Luck!

The wax you have is probably fine but there are lots of products and LOTS of opinions about which is best. That should get you started with what you have - hope it helps.

I like to apply wax with a foam applicator. The foam doesn't absorb the product as much as terry cloth applicators and your product will go further. I carry some 6x4 foam applicator pads that work great for applying polishes, glazes, sealants, and waxes.

For taking off products and drying microfibers are the way to go.

If you are looking for a good wax that is easy to use you should check out my Wet Wax. This goes on easy and comes off easy. My wax doesn't have any residue and can be used in the sun.

Wanted to let you know that my new line is now out. You should really look into the Wet Glaze and Wet Wax for your color. Also check out my new Fast Shine and Waterless Wash Quick Detailers. They have been a huge hit!
