I've got a red 96 GT and i want to put new headlights on it. The stock ones are getting that foggy/white look to them and i'm not to fond of it. Since my windows are lightly tinted and the car is a nice red color, i was thinking about getting smoked/dark grey headlights, and corners, but the idea of getting a set of clearer ones with a dark background on them has crossed my mind as well. Any suggestions?

 

clear hedlights with clear corners. my bro got some off ebay for 100 bucks for RF and LF. it looks like a new car.

On ebay there are "jdm" headlights that are smoked or chrome, I dont know how they work or if they fit or whatever but they look really good. I'd look into that if I were you.

i got jdm headlights on mine, the smoked ones, and they are nice. its identical to cobra hl except the reflective strips are white. i wouldnt go with any aftermarket tailights though.

 

i have ultra clears on mine, but i think being that it is a red car and your windows are tinted, you should prob go with smoked headlights

is that the mach 1 spoiler on your car? i've never seen that on a pre 99.

anyone know how to clean up that oxidation (cloudy/foggy) look on the stock headlights? I have blackouts and I can use all the xtra light I can get. I installed some silverstar bulbs on the headlights and fog lights. Makes big difference, but the foggy stock headlights still aren't very bright through the blackouts, and it's a pain to take them off everynight.
