Meguiars: Cost vs Results?
I just got my car finished (well, almost) and just started looking in to washing, cleaning, claying, polishing, waxing etc
Meguiars is expensive (or so I think). Is it worth it?

Especially on dark colored cars and compared to other companies out there they are comparable. They have been around for many years and they are the only products I use on my black stang. I love your car and I am so jealous. I am currently making a "clone"- sort of a modern retro version of the "Eleanor" on my 06 GT. (Thanks to Cervinis). All appearance mods are done but now on to performance. The Whipple S/C should be going in soon!
Awesome Car!!!
Does cost really come into the equation when you have a work of art like that to preserve???
That said, my husband said when he got the Carquest bill today "you spent $54.00 on Polish?" (That is only stuff he knows about).... the Meguiar's professional line is good stuff, and I probably have enough to last several years.Amortize the cost of the pollish over several years and it doesn't seem expensive at all.

Thanks guys!
I guess I was questioning the advertising hype vs quality. I want quality and am willing to pay for it. But I don't want sub par quality.
mygt500 - your car looks great. I would like to see it in person some day.

Thanks....but my car won't hold a candle to yours! If ever I am in Texas I will definitely look you up. CrazyAl on the forums said if I ever were in Texas I could have all my suspension mods done through him. I plan on taking him up on that offer in the not so distant future and I could plan on meeting you as well. Take care and invest in a porter cable D/A polisher if you dont already have one. At about 100-140 dollars (depending if it is used like mine was) it will save you a whole lot of time. Polishing and waxing by hand on these black cars takes forever and the results with the porter cable are amazing and cannot be imitated by hand. Just an FYI. Later Jason
