Well I'm basically flat broke right now. I have a little cash left for mods, but don't have enough to get anything really worthwhile, so I thought about doing something visually. What do you guys think about racing stripes on my sonic blue vert gt? What color should I go with and how much do they normally run? I'm new to the whole racing stripe thing, I just think they look cool.

Oh I have stainless steel bumper inserts so you probably have to take that into consideration when advising a color, b/c clashing = [:'(]

 

Well since you have SS inserts then i think you should get silver stripes. They always look good on blue mustangs.

 

what about black? i never seen black on a blue stang but to me it sounds like it would look good. or maybee a grey.

 

i think this would look really cool, ive never seen it but ive always thought that this with the same bumper inserts would be hot. if you got a blue car, get one shade darker blue and stripe the car that color and the bump inserts that color. it would be like a ghost shadow stripe. i think it would look sweet. it wont stand out a lot but it will catch eyes. if you cant find vinyl, get it painted. or photoshop it and post it here so we can see.

I was thinking either white or silver, but w/ the white won't it clash w/ the SS inserts, or am I wrong? If anyone has pics of sonic blue GTs w/ stripes i would love to see em...

 

I think white or silver would be awesome!! I think the silver would clash a bit with the SS inserts... I have silver stripes sitting here that I'm putting on in the spring and they just don't seem to go well with the SS. I wanted to get the SS inserts too but I was afraid it would look funny.

Anyways, you could get some reflective racing stripes. I know stang-graphics.com has some there, but they're a bit more expensive than the regular option.

Anyways, definitely go with Baltimore Street Mods-- I got mine from him as well and he's very honest and he'll get the stripes to you really quick.
