Default Mothers Polishing Tool

Has anyone tried that Mothers Polishing Ball? It's the one that attaches to a drill for small areas like wheels, etc. Is it worth it?

The Power Ball works pretty good. We use them a lot in our detailing business. We also go through quite a few of them!

how do you even use it? seems like more of a hassel to take it out, set it up, and use it than it does to just get a bucket and soap to do your wheels with

plus the ball itsself is huge, and seems hard to get in small places

I have the regular powerball and the mini. With a good drill they work excellent at polishing aluminum, chrome, diamond plate, ect. It saves a lot of elbow grease! For larger areas on diamond plateI use my Cyclo polisher with wool pads.

The PowerBalls are for polishing -- you'll still want to clean them first. Don't force it into tight spaces -- you'll break it; set the torque clutch to about 50%. Go slow -- it doesn't require too much speed. In most cases, it's much easier than polishing by hand.
