Try some WD40 on the trim. That should take it off with no problem.

ok, do not put wd40 on it! it will dinge the part. what you need to do is put some greased lightning on aragand gently rub untill it comes off. it will work. i promise.

WD40 will not hurt that part at all. I've been using that on things for years with no problems.

If it is overspray from a spray can you can get a claybar from most parts stores or maybe even walmart in the wax section. It will take overspray off really easy. I used to work in a body shop and that is what we used all of the time to get it off. If it is a glob of pant like a drip it may not work. The thing you can try for that is paint thinner on a rag but dont rub to hard or let it soak on the paint. If it is factory paint with clear coat it will not damage it if you are careful. The clearcoat has been cured for a while and is pretty tough. If it is new paint do not use it becuse theclearcoat will not have cured enough and it will damage the clearcoat. I have used paint thiner to take paintsmudges off of my car when someone bumped my bumper with there car so I know this works also.
