Default installing weather stripping

Has any one ever installed weather stripping around windows? I have to replace mine on my 88 stang because its cracked and it leaks when it rains. I got some weather stripping off another mustang at a junk yard. It was surprisingly in very good shape with no cracks! I was just hoping someone could maybe give me some pointers. Thanks ahead of time for your help

Default RE: installing weather stripping

seal it with silicone or something of the sort.. get something completely waterproof. run a bead around the seal and place it where it goes. allow to dry and test it for leaks using a hairdryer or steam or something that can possibly penetrate through the window to make a whistle sound at a gap. if you have a gap somewhere, pack more silicone or pack in some more weather stripping. should turn out fine.
