New tires!
So I got some new rear tires on....I wanted some Nitto DR's but went for a nice street tire instead. They are Kumho ECSTA Supra something or other[8D] THey have a nice tread pattern...similar to Nitto. I went with 265/40 instead of 275/40 this time.....it actually looks better on my rim. The contact pattern is mostly the same anyway since I was bulging a little with the 275's. Sorry this is so long....just wanted to share.
nice, I'm getting my new wheels/tires mounted tomorrow while i'm at work [sm=icon_rock.gif]
I know some people who run those kumho tires. Everytime I see that brand name I laugh a little bit on the inside though

Kumho makes a great tire IMO i have the KUMHO ECSTA ASX ALL SEASON and let me tell you how awesome these tires are in the rain.. and light snow.. now im not going to get too brazen driving like a fool in this weather but these tires give u at least SOME confidence they grip so good in the rain its amazing NOW the only problem is i just bought Chrome Cobra's and gonna have to put em on that new rim.. im going from Stock Bullits to Cobras.. 245-45-17 17x8 to 17x9
KUMHO GOOD CHOICE!!!
(or however you spell it lol)

I have the kumho all season ones too just got em put on last week, the traction is amazing in dry weather. and pretty decent is snow. I havent driven in the rain yet though. I would say good choice.
Cool, looks like alot of you guys run Kumho's....I wasnt sure if they were good. I'm liking the traction so far....great dry traction, but no rain yet so we'll see how they do.

I once had Kumho Supra 255x40x17's on my Stang. I got rid of them. I think they are a hard tire for starters -- even at low pressure. In cold temps, traction is reduced and wheel spin is easy and frequent. It feels like your driving on hard plastic. The really problem I is when the ground was a little wet. Note that I said a little wet. Turing a corner after a red light, If I wasn't careful, I could do a 180 with out trying if I got just a tad aggressive. They are that unstable. In the snow, forget about it. I once got caught in about an inch of snow. I was about 5 miles away from home. Let me tell you, that 5 miles was the longest 5 miles I've ever driven.
Never again.
I never gain confidence driving with them on my 02 Stang. In my honest opinion, Kumho Supra's are a hazard.
May the Lord God help you. You will need it.

I thought the Kumho's would be an upgrade vs the stock Goodyears. I immediately felt a downgrade out of the gate.
Never again.
